Sat Nav for purchase without a pc

My cousin has asked me to help him find a satnav. He doesnt however have a pc to do updates etc.
As his purchase is purely for finding a location not for adding POI's does it really matter which one he gets?
I was thinking about the Garmin NUVI 300 in CPW this or Navman F20.
Any thoughts?

I think most of the consumer units will operate as a basic 'atob' unit out of the box (i.e. with no PC connection) -the thing to check is if you get a mains charger or not.
I have a tom tom one V2 which is excellent but only comes with a USB charger (although it does come with a car adapter so you can charge from the cigarette socket using the USB cable) - its a bit of a pain, but worth it as I find tom tom excellent, and other maps, POIs, speed cameras and things are easy to obtain with minimal looking around...0 -
He can always come round to use your PC to get it updated, as well as spending quality time with the relatives?!scousemanblue wrote:My cousin has asked me to help him find a satnav. He doesnt however have a pc to do updates etc.
