Dro / ccj

Hello all, anyone help me with this:

In the process of gaining a DRO via payplan and should be complete within another 2-3 weeks but today received a hand delivered latter from a local court advising they have important documents for me which I assume is a summons for one of my outstanding debts. - a payday loan. They say a must contact them within 3 days to avoid further action an possible imprisonment. Payplan advised I must not contact any of my creditors but what should I do about this?

Any guidance would be great

Thanks

    Hi

First thing to do is to call Payplan and tell them.

    Do not call the creditor.

contact the court direct, never ignore the courts
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

Because of the mention of imprisonment, this should be one of two things:

An attachment of earnings order (only possible if there is a defaulted ccj)

    or

    an order to obtain information.

The court will tell you what it is, and the timescale involved. If you pass this info to Payplan it may encourage them to get a move on with your DRO. Have they issued you with your barcode yet? Have you paid it?
