Have you tried JJB Sports, Amazon, SportsDirect? Also, have a look at SportsShoes.com for overpronation trainers. Otherwise try searching the MegaShopBot.0

Have a look at some Asics there is a shoe advisor questionnaire thing on their website. Amazon usually have some for a reasonable price. Asics shoes made a big difference to my problems.
ETA - they do come up small though, I had to get a size up. If you have a running shop nearby go see them they are usually good for advice.Booo!!!0 -
I'd suggest getting them fitted first as each shoe even within the same brand can feel very different, unless your after a repeat of your last trainer which you know you get on with.
RunnersWorld, RunnersNeed, Start Fitness, Sports Direct, SweatShop, SportsShoes, Wiggle and if your female (can't tell by your post!) then SweatyBetty, RunningBare, SheActive or Running4Women are decent stores. (Links embedded).
You just need to know what your looking for but most sports brands now-a-days make trainers for over/under pronations rather then just neutral trainers. Nike, Adidas, Asics are a few brands, Brooks, Saucony and Mizuno are a few of the lesser known but (in some opinions) even better made trainers to try.0 -
P.S, try going via cashback stores to help reduce the cost, its not something to rely on incase for whatever reason websites don't pay up/deals are pulled but much of the time it can knock a few pounds off the price.0

thank you all will try to get to a store first rather than just buy online.0

Good luck, always a good idea to try on until you know what suits you, then once you know, easy enough to go away & have a think about it. (and check the best price online).sophlowe45 wrote: »thank you all will try to get to a store first rather than just buy online.
Now if someone could find good shoes that would be brilliant.Booo!!!0 -
Not sure if you want them for running or every day purposes but you could go to a specialised running shop and get a gait analysis done. There is no charge for this and they will bring different shoes for you to try out and tell you about them. Do this and make a mental note of what they've told you and then check out the Sports Direct website. They often do the same shoes but in a past colour or style from previous seasons and so they're much cheaper.0

everyday purposes is what the podiatrist at the hospital recommended them for, waiting for my orthotics to be built up more so probably best to wait to for them and then go try on trainers.
also want trainers for gym too though, but everyday is the priority.
thanks everyone, have a runners world nearby so can go there for the gait analysis.0 -
Thanks everyone went to Runners World, got some recommendations after walking on the treadmill with my orthotics in the trainers, then accidentally walked past The Marathon Store who had the same paid i tried on for £59, just over £20 cheaper than Runners World, should have asked if they had another pair in my size.
I got a pair of Saucony trainers and they seem pretty good.0 -
P.S as per my usual experience Amazon was even cheaper.0
