Defaults from Hell

Hi,
Can anybody help me with my defaults? I have 5 which have all been settled, no CCJ's but cant get credit at all. I read earlier on this site somebody had called the company's and got them to remove them is this possible?

    They can only be removed 6 years after the date of their issue. Has this timeframe now passed?

    If so, contact either Experien or Equifax and ask them to be removed from your file.

    Usually they automatically drop off your file though.

    when were they?

    why do you want further credit?
  • My reason for requiring credit is another mortgage as I have just sold my house and have some savings and no debt, as for the defaults they will be gone in 2010, but thats no help at the mo.

    mortgages are in fact easier to get than most other credit because it secured on property. the amount of your deposit and your income are vey important of course.
    have you enquired of a mortgage company? see what they say

    otherwise try a specialise broker..you will probably pay a premium rate
