Timeshare - now an option

Considering that so many people are in dire straits perhaps the idea of a timeshare would now be more attractive:

Having said that I have recently travelled to Cyprus and the aircraft was full of chavs and shazzis (it was the first time I had ever travelled to the airport and then hoped I didn't get on the plane. If the plane had gone down the DSS would have had a field day).
That'll teach me to take a last minute bargain flight.

I've never liked the idea of a timeshare. You're parting with a huge sum in return for no actual property, just a contract....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

Gatwick. The other half found a really good deal (unbelievably cheap to fly to Cyprus and stay there and we can't pass up a good deal). We stayed in a quiet place about 5 miles east of Ayia Napa.

travelling with these people would have been an improvement.
Interestingly the people from "The Scheme" don't seem short of money for drugs, holidays, bling.

This is the company referred to in the article, they can only have improved since then - it was 2005 (although I would think this is how they make a large percentage of their money). The guy in the second post is so obviously from the company.
