Good rate

I am looking for a mortgage of about £120k. Been quoted 5.29% fixed. Is this a good rate or are there any mortgages advisors on site that could do better?

You should be able to find better. Depending on how long it is fixed for. Some 10 year fixed ones are less, like YBS.0

YBS? this one is fixed for 2 years and there are absolutely no penalties0

Sorry, Yorkshire Building Society. And that is just a major bank. I'm sure better deals are about. I think the YBS one is fixed for 10 years for around 5% or so, +/- a bit.0

Thats fair enough for no penalties. You can always change it then if rates seem to be increasing. Its certainly not an unreasonable rate anyway.
I'm sure somebody more in the know will help.0
