Anybody tried Russian Chicken?

Options
I have heared about a recipe for Russian Chicken, no it's not a joke!

There is a caller who has rang lbc 97.3 on several occassions and has sung the virtues of chicken cooked this way.

You take 1kg of table salt and place on a baking tray, place the chicken on it,add 4 cloves of garlic a quarter of a lemon and a couple of sprigs of rosemary into the cavity, then cook as normal. It is supposed to taste fantastic, has anybody tried it?

I've seen whole fish cooked this way (baked in a salt crust) but not chicken. I would imagine that the taste of the garlic would predominate. Seems like a waste of salt to me. But as I haven't tried it I'm not really qualified to criticise.
