Buying a kitchen under the distance selling regs

Hi

I'm just about to buy a kitchen, I visited the supplier, they designed a kitchen to my drawings (they'll check the dimensions before purchase). If I now 'phone the supplier and purchase with a credit card, am I covered under the distance selling regs? Or is there no protection because the initial enquiry was at the supplier's premises?

Thanks

Micky

The other issue is if it is "made to measure" then it isnt covered fully by the distance selling regs either (eg no cooling off period etc)

What is the issue you have or is it just a general wanting to know before anything does go wrong?

    Hi Astaroth

The supplier's sale finishes tomorrow night (Monday), I want to look at a couple of alternatives over the next few days but I don't want to miss out on the sale price; of course, it is possible that the supplier's "sale" prices might be reduced further, in which case I'd like to back out of the deal using the distance selling regs. I suspect that this might not be possible because I made the initial contact at the suppliers premises although no transaction occurred.

Astaroth is right, it doesn't matter where the initial enquiry took place, it is more to do with the goods that you are purchasing. If these goods are in any way made to measure then you will not be covered.
    Gone ... or have I?
