Hi, was the Lemon curd a 411g jar, with the yellow label?
Sent hubby shopping this morning & he got all the cake decorations :j but the lemon curd was normal price at 64p :(
He bought it anyway as the kids love it but it would have been nice to get it for 25p :o

Yes it was the Gales make with a yellow label and blue writing, 410g size jar for 25p. Just checked online at my local store to see if its gone back up and its actually gone down even further to 24p now.

Been busy today making homemade pizzas (dont very often have them but thought id give them a go). I got the Mary Berry freezer cookbook from the library recently so working my way through recipes from there. The lasagne is gorgeous. Was fun asking for just 50g of gruyere cheese off sainsburys cheese counter. Even more so though asking for 25g of parmesan. The lady was fine about it though as she said since the Jamie Oliver cook for a fiver ads had been on she has had so many people asking for just 40g of that cheese. Will be going into Sainsburys tomorrow to get their bogof butchers style sausages to use with my tesco 11p puff pastry mix to do lots of sausage slice bars for the freezer.

Dunno about cook a meal for a fiver i think i could cook for a week for a fiver now (or almost anyway) after finding the great threads on here. This site is just brill :T

After just replying to the above ive just been and looked online at my local tesco stores and seen that the silver balls which were 13p are now 12p, the lemon curd now 24p, the puff pastry mix just 10p. So seems like most of the items are reduced by a further penny. Not a lot i know but every little helps (not sure which supermarkets saying that is!!). I wonder what else is lurking out there waiting to be spotted.
  • sunflower growing kits are now £1.38. A great gift because you get everything you need. Got a few for easter gifts next year. They also had sweet pea kit and tomato kit for the same price.

I bought the Gales lemon curd a couple of weeks ago and it was 35p which i thought oddly cheap and the Tesco one next to it was double the price, will look out for it again if its even cheaper now!

Been back again tonight to have a good look round. Got the above items at very good prices.
Tesco unbleached non stick baking paper 8 metres x 37cm wide 38p.
Tesco resealable food bags suitable for the freezer, fridge, microwave 15 large 30cm x 36cm, excellent quality these are 22p.
Bob Martin dog poo bags anti bacterial pack of 40 for 44p. I know nappy bags are cheaper and i do use these at home but these arent see through for when youre out and about.
Bob Martin shake n vac style litter tray freshener powder 38p.

Just want to tell ev1 about my bargains with yellow tickets. 2 bags of 5 in each pears 20p a bag, were £1.20. a bag of plums 18p were £2.20. Just got to decide what variety of crumbles i will be making tomorrow now. What goes with pear and what goes with plum or can i just use them alone?

For anyone who cannot find these in their local Tesco, try Asda !!
I toured my nearest huge Tesco, and managed to find several of the cake decorating bits and pieces, but large areas of the shelves were already empty of stock.
Then went to Asda to do normal shop - and spotted exactly same items reduced to virtually the same prices - silver balls, 100's and 1000's, jelly diamonds, etc.
    Even the puff pastry mix.
Assume that the manufacturer is either changing the packaging, or more likely they are changing the ingredients to conform to some new legislation.
Also notice that some of their food colouring is also marked a lot cheaper than the rest of the colours ( sorry, cannot remember which - it has been a long day!!)
    HTH someone

Yes, i think you're right. Didn't these cake toppings used to be Supercook, the ones i had online at Tesco are branded as Dr Oekter.

Forgot to mention before that the Green & Blacks Organic Cocoa Powder Fairtrade in a 125g tub was just 85p. Cadburys for the same size was £1.39 for the same size so i thought that was a good buy.
