You can study with the Open University with no entry requirements:

Had a quick glance and tbh this is what im definately interested in doing.
Is there a set time fram to do these?
i.e if i did level 1 entry level stuff could i smash these out in months?
i know i have to work from the ground upwards really, but alot of the ground work will be simple for me and i could fly through it. Im definately going to give connexions and 'next step' a ring though. Any advice is welcomed and considering they're specialists i couldnt really ask for anything else.8k/13k for 2013!0 -

aha yes i thought someone might pick up on that. She did mention that she may hold on a year which does give me a buffer of a year or so. We both are 100% set on travelling together and one of the main places we will be spending ALOT of time is NZ and Aus. Australia are crying out for teaching staff and i have friends who's son's/brothers/sisters/cousins etc have gone the teaching route and then left the country and are employed teaching english and other various subjects in many different countries.
I do see your concern however and so does she. We are planning our trips and enquiring about working visa's etc at the moment so when we take the plunge were fully prepared and know what to do and when.8k/13k for 2013!0 -

No, each course has a start and end date. There are also assignment dates along the way which must be met, when you submit work for marking to your tutor. You can study more than one at a time, and don't have to start at level 1. Courses combine to make certificates, and certificates combine to make degrees.
What I did was look at the degrees and pick one, then pick a course to start with which also counted toward a certificate. This way you build toward a qualification.

My digital life (TU100) is a key introductory Level 1 module which will help you understand the broad field of computing and IT so that you can choose the most appropriate pathway to follow in your future studies.
It is the recommended starting point for studying towards the Diploma of Higher Education in Computing and IT (E66) and the BSc (Honours) Computing and IT (B62).

Teachers pay in NZ is about 70% of that in the UK. The cost of living is, however about 20% lower. You can work in Aus. and NZ with just a UK passport and driving license. You only need to sit a driving test if you are there over 12 months. Same in the States as well.
I have two cousins down under and a couple of friends who went Stateside a year or two ago.Never Knowingly Understood.
