Morrisons - mispricing policy

I don't know if this is a new policy or just because our customer service lady is nice :T but when I was in there yesterday I picked up some cleaning wipes which were over a half price sign, showing the price as £1.99 down to 99p.

When they went through the till each pack was £1.49. I went to check the offer to see the sign did not relate to what was above it and they had obviously put the wipes in the wrong place. I picked up the correct ones on special and bought them.

When I went to get a refund, she said that as the shelf had been stacked incorrectly she could reduce the ones which were stacked over the sign for me as it was misleading.

As I said, I don't know if this is a new policy, a nice customer service lady or just that I have not encountered it before, but I hope it helps someone.

Everyone has different policies. I got some crisps before Christmas which were advertised as BOGOF, but the deal had finsihed. NO one had removed the shelf lable. So I got them for free. Some policey about getting your money back and the goods for free. She quickly removed the label before I could get any more:rotfl: .
On he other hand, if goods end up in the wrong place, usually they don't do anything. I mean I could move some goods to another shelf and claim it was mispriced.
I guess they just gave you a gesture of good will, based on their mistake, They don't have to sell the good at the lower price, they can withdraw them from sale

Thanks - I thought it was a bit unusual that she offered it and I actually didn't take it as the actual ones that were on special offer I prefer anyway:rotfl:
