Just upgraded my mobile phone for (almost) free! :j
It took 1 1/2 years on Virgin PAYG for me to spend £100 on top ups to earn a £10 upgrade credit. No overspending for me on mobile calls! I got a Motorola W375 w/£30 of airtime for £42.98. And I expect to be able to sell my current phone on ebay for around a tenner, so basically a free phone without the hassle of a contract! Yay me!
I saw the deal two weeks ago, and considered it, then made sure I could budget it this month... £30 came out of the top up category (which I won't need to use again for 6 months) and the £12.98 out of my personal fun money. The money from selling the old mobile will be paid into my personal fun money, so that should work out. And I did it through quidco, so if it tracks (not sure if it will, since I already have a Virgin account), that will be another £4. So I could be a few quid better off, depending on quidco and the ebay sale.
But blast it! Stupid not delivering to the office means that I had to schedule it for next saturday, so I have to wait a WHOLE WEEK for my shiny new free phone!Hi, I'm Mich

Did you look at selling your phone on envirofone? You may get more for it and they pay postage costs etc. I think you can go through pigsback and get points (though don't quote me)
