Is it really that difficult

 Ive emailed our venue this morn to ask how many tables will be in the evening room so that i can note down how many vases/mirror plates i will need.she emailed back saying it will go on cutlery !!!!!! were having a cold finger buffet.i was also told i couldnt take the cake the day before when we deliver the items, has to go on the day,she told me this a month ago,she did say she would speak to her manager though as we live 30miles away from venue and wedding is at 11.30 in the morn.well never heard back on that one so we decided to ask the best man to bring it on the day in his car.also made sure that they would decorate the tables for us and she is now saying depends how busy the hotel is that week but u can do it yourself.maybe its just me but were paying money to hire two rooms for the wedding breakfast and evening, this is what they are paid for, like i wont have enough to do the day before.total bridezilla moment.do they purposely drag there feet to do your head in!

I would suggest that you make an appointment to meet with her (give yourselves lots of time to talk everything through as it can take ages). Then write an email to her, with a list of all the things you want to discuss, for example

These are the things we wish to discuss at our meeting on xxx:

    1. Decoration of rooms
    2. Delivery of cake
    3. Numbers for daytime & evening receptions
    4. Layout of rooms for daytime & evening reception

If you see what I mean?

Then she can't say she didn't know, she's got chance to do her research, and you have got your list to get all the answers & decisions you want.

Thanx, she actually emailed me after me trying to make it even more clear, she told me there would be 9 tables yay how simple was that.will be arranging a meeting also.she also said that the day before the wedding if the room is free we can set up what we want like the candy buffet and whatever else she will do or she will do it all.bit of a change of tune, must have been the way i worded my email that made her think she had a bridezilla on her hands and that i wanted answers lol

I've read the first point a few times, as I didn't quite get the gist.

Is there a problem with decorating the tables? Generally I think venues do the basics (ie lay the cutlery etc), that's what ours did, but the place names, favours and extra deccies were done by my BMs on the day.

Basically yes,the place cards, voile, centre pieces etc.we was told when we booked she would do this as we wouldnt be able to do it the day before due to them saying we couldnt, like we couldnt take the cake the day before.its 30miles away from where we live,we get wed at 11.30 in our home town then pics then travel to venue for more pics and arrival drinks,my guests simply dont have time to decorate tables for me.my BM's are my two little girls.Plus the room we are using is used in the evening for hotel guests normally so no chance of getting in there the day before, were also using a different room for the evening so after the meals we have 1.5 hrs to relax and for decs etc to moved into the next room.i sent her another email and made it clear to her, she has actually read my email properly and said she will do it and also let me know the table numbers.really is simple :) im sick of her dragging her feet with everything

is it not done by how many guest you have as they will all need a seat? I have 7 tables (plus top table) as this is what is needed at our venue for 80 guests. Our venue are setting up the tables, I need to take each table items in a box so they know what goes on what table and they have a description of how i want napkins etc on our wedding information sheet. I wouldnt want my BMs to be doing it the morning of the wedding! x

The wedding brekafast is but its only 37 of us,i wanted to know how many tables for the evening cold finger buffet based on how many people we said may come.its a simple enough job to add up how many tables we need as to how many guests we have guessed will be coming on the evening.problem with me is im super organised and have been buying lots already,i dont want to leave it till april when prices increase.id rather over order on vases etc than not have enough.just a shame that she isn't as organised as id expect someone in charge of peoples big days to be x
