Ive received a letter today from a company called scotcall, advising me of personal visit this relates to a very old debt and one i requested a copy of the CCA agreement off some months ago (jan / feb) A copy of the CCA never arrived or appeared but the debt was passed to another collection agent who again contacted me I refered them back to to the fact I had already requested a copy of the CCA from the original party and nothing had arrived and that therefore they should not be persuing the debt? i used some letter template off here but now cant find it? can anyone point me in the right direction and advised me how to proceed as it seems the debt is just passing between collection agents......
cheers in advance...

if its more than 6 years old (in England, 5 in Scotland), it will be statute barred.
They are in default until they produce a properly executed CCA so you need to tell each new DCA when they write to you, and everything in writing, don't answer phone calls. Why did you send for a CCA, did you not think the debt was yours?More than Two Years in

i thought, rightly or wrongly a debt couldnt be passed to another DCA whilst it was in dispute??????
Ive already had contact from two other DCA's and advised them the debt is in dispute due to no CCA, there was a letter i sent but i cant find the template now to do it once again......0
