Lloyds!!

We have three accounts on an arrangement to pay..

they show up on our credit files as arrangement to pay along with the start balance, current balance and repayment amount plus when arrangement started

so i cleared one o/d as im trying to improve our credit score (they are the only imperfections on my credit file) all other accounts are up to date with good history.

so 6weeks after i cleared account still shows i owe 220!

other two accounts also show balances that match statements from 6 months ago although it says updated 19th December 2006!!!

i have complained through equifax and got a response saying lender had agreed to amend and would take 30 days (this was back in november )

it updated on 19th dec but is still incorrect!

i have complained again and been told by equifax that it will be retified!

im sooooo p**sed off as i want it sorted before i apply for my mortgage as im sure it will affect my rate!

So ive had a rant! has anyone had this problem does anyone know what i can do

TIA

I've no idea sorry hun, but hopefully someone with a bit more knowledge will spot it soon. I agreed to 'settle' an account with them a while back, and thought it was done. Had a look at my credit report and it seems I too owe them money - probably the few pence 'interest' charges that they said they'd remove, lol.

Hmm...I've had some problems with Lloyds accounts on my credit file too - Experian tell me its because Lloyds have been sending bad data formats and therefore they're unable to load properly and subsequently no updates were being done/being done with mistakes in.

I had last update amount showing what I owed back in July! After 4 phone calls, 2 recorded delivery letters and Experian intervention it finally got sorted with an update on Friday just gone - this has taken 3.5 months and since my last letter stated that I was giving them 30 days to "correct the information or I would write to the Banking Ombudsman to complain, as by law, I have the right to have accurate information showing on my credit file and having £8K shown as outstanding when I owe zero will affect my credit rating and that I will hold Lloyds TSB Card Services responsible for any credit decision affected by their inaccuracies on my file, should they not update my file within the timeframe given". This seems to have worked. And breathe....;)

You might want to try the letter writing exercise by recorded delivery with the threat to escalate the complaint, as they don't allow their people who deal with the CRA side to speak to customers  . I had to send in a copy of my credit report and a covering letter explaining the problem, but they still stay they never received this!

Hope that helps, though if they've updated the file to Dec 06, I would suggest you ring Lloyds yourself to ask what they have on their system. (I've had more luck taking this avenue than Experian did).

In my experience, you will need to do all the running..both Experian and I have found Lloyds to be unwilling to sort and unco-operative, hence my rigid stance with the 30 days to do it in or else.

Can I suggest that you open an account at another Bank, and start using that for all your paying in, and d/d's in case Lloyd's get 'funny' - as they have been known to.
