Glasgow City Council Tax question!

Options
Hi there I was just wondering what months it is that you dont have to make any payments? I had to keep paying all of last year as I had just moved in and had to make up payments.

I wasnt sure if it was feb/march or march/april

Thanks!

Def Feb/March, I had to phone them and remembered reading your question, so asked to double check.
  • yay!! I had forgot about that - I have glasgow postcode, but I'm classed as North Lanarkshire.

fair cheered me up thats an extra £250 in my tail for 2 months!! :D
I have no more money to give - all you companies out there - do your worst - I give in!! :(
  • It will also depend on whether you opted to pay over 10 months or 12 months. I would phone and check before planning the cash for anything else just incase you use it for something else and then not have the funds available when they try to take the payment (assuming you pay by DD). I pay mine over 12 months so I know what is what every single month of the year and how much I will have spare for creditors/self.

  • I never got an option - I just got told this is what my monthly payments would be - mine is also only for a part year. I think I will phone them to be sure :D

I pay by direct debit, but also never got an option on 10 or 12 months. Perhaps it differs from area to area? The guy answered me very quickly when I asked which months were non payment months, I don't expect he knew my method of payment at that point, and he didn't ask.
