Joint CCJ

Hi,

I have a CCJ made against me, and I really want to clear it, however I do not want to be paying out more than I need to. The CCJ was for rent on a property myself and my ex partner had to move out of early, and it is in both of our names.

I have offered the person I owe the money to half, as I believe my ex partner should pay the other half, but they refuse to accept anything less than 75%.

Should I stick to my guns and only pay half, or should I just get on with it, and accept 75%?

Thanks

You are legally responsible to repay the whole 100% of the CCJ. If they are willing to accept 75% and mark the CCJ as settled/issue a notice fo satisfaction then I would go for it.
