When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.

Morning campers  I don't know why I'm still piddling about on here, I should be in full blown getting ready mode by now! :o Just can't get myself together this morning - my "run" as lame as it was really took it out of me!

Today:
  • checked banking & cc statement
  • brekkie & lunch from the stores
  • take note of mileage and do my expenses today
  • work hard - I have 2 really important things I need to do today at work
  • requested £20 cashback from my cc :T
  • go for a run after work
  • going out with some girls for dinner tonight :D - will be using vouchers ;)
  • quick shower
That's all I can think of! Happy Thursday girls (and guys of course :p) we've almost made it! x

  • Morning everyone,
Thanks for starting the thread Determined.
I'm at work till 10am, then off home as not at my main job today. I'm feeling a lot better today, still have a headache but tummy has settled so need to do some constructive things.

    Todays list:
Washer on with towels as soon as I get home, will try to line dry, if not airer.
Put away the chean washing mountain on the living room table.
Check for surveys throughout the day.
Waiting for payment on 2 items on Ebay, will post if they are paid for before 4pm.
Sort out and put away the rest of the camping stuff from the weekend.
    College work.
List at least 3 items on Ebay.
Go to Mr T and get £10 dog food with £5 clubcard voucher. :D
Potter about and tidy up, might have an afternoon nap.

    Have a good day everyone.

    Morning Gang,

Thanks to Determined for starting the thread.

Perni - I’m sure it was you who asked why I work with negative people. One in particular thinks that she is better than me, has a sad home life, doesn’t like the job etc. I smile sweetly and make small talk, but sometimes it gets me down! :o:D

Hope everyone else is good – hugs to those that need them

    Today I have/will:
    • Remember to smile to myself a lot today
    • Checked online banking – no change
    • Had to raid my £2 pot as I have no money and need to buy breakfast and lunch (I am determined not to ‘borrow’ from hubby otherwise it leaves me short next month)
    • Need to plan where I am with my debts (a couple of them should be finished with CCCS soon – particularly RBS)
    • Read freebie paper on the train
    • Read newspapers online
    • Need to charge up mobile at work
    • Take vits and meds to control hormones
    • Eat sensibly and update food diary
    • Drink plenty of water
    • Need to keep an eye out for MS jobs and surveys
    • Dinner from stores
    • Going to WW after work
Think that is about all, have a great day and sparkle!

    Morning all!
I have visitors (mum and sister) arriving at lunchtime for a few days. So the next couple of days will revolve around being the hostess with the mostest. I even made some Twinks yesterday for them - very unlike me!

    So today will be ...
    • Check bank to make sure that the loan has disappeared making me debt free!:j:j
    • Walk dogs lots (will have dog no2 arriving later in the form of Bonkers Billy!)
    • Maybe do a little bit of school work later if I get some time before they arrive
    • Pop to shops for some bread rolls and ham
    • Going for an early bird indian later - £7.95 each, not bad
    • Have a quick tidy round before they come (did a big clean yesterday so won't take long)
    • Maybe take mum to big out of town M&S to look for a new work suit
That's all I can think of for now - have a good day!
