Tickles offer ? National Express East Anglia £10 Norwich to London 6.30pm return ?

Hi,

I purchased a 4 x vouchers from Tickles.co.uk/norwich for return travel to London off peak any day. I plan to use the vouchers tomorrow and just looking at the small print. It says Your ticket is off-peak so you can travel from Norwich any time after 10:30am. Does this mean i can get on the 10.30am London train from Norwich ?

It also says: Your ticket is not valid for return from London between 4pm and 6:30pm inclusive.

I looked on teh website tonight to check if there was any onfo on being able to board teh 6.30pm train and the website now says Your ticket is not valid for return from London between 4pm and 7:30pm inclusive ? An hour later than the printed voucher i have ?

I can still download and re-print the vouchers that say: Your ticket is not valid for return from London between 4pm and 6:30pm inclusive.

We will be travelling as a family so don't want to get on the 6.30pm or 7pm train and get hassle becuase the website is different to the printed voucher i have ?

Am i allowed to travel as per the voucher or the website ?

The following is the small print on teh printed voucher i have which once validated will be my ticket.

Vouchers are valid for until, and including, August 26, 2011. Voucher can only be redeemed from 24 hours after offer closes. The voucher is your ticket. Printed Voucher must be presented by the purchaser to redeem this offer. Simply take your voucher and some ID to the train station booking office and have your ticket validated. average ticket price. Your ticket is valid for any time travel on weekends. Valid in standard accommodation only, no first class upgrades available with this offer. No reservations are included. No refunds given on vouchers.

How can they change the return time after customers have purchased their deal ?

Back to answer my own questions lol !

With the Tickles National Express East Anglia £10 Norwich to London Voucher you can get on the 10.30am train. In fact this is the first train you can get on with the voucher.

The 10.30am train from Norwich gets you in to London Liverpool Street at 12.17.

You then either need to return before 4pm or after 6.30pm. Can't see anyone wanting to arrive at 12.17 and leave before 4pm but you never know.

The first return after 6.30pm you can get on with this ticket is the 7pm out of London Liverpool Street Station. This train gets you in to Norwich at 8.50pm. There is a Norwich to Lowestoft train waiting to depart at 9.06pm but if you need the Great Yarmouth train you will have to wait till 9.40pm. Bizarely the train before this to Yarmouth leaves at 8.40pm yet you don't arrive in Norwich till 8.50pm .. Poor train planning in my opinion.. but hey-ho.

One really good thing about this voucher is you are able to get selected hot drinks for only £1 from the on train buffet. This covers Tea, Coffee, Hot Chocolate, normally around £2.20-£2.50. And its not just for one hot drink ! You can use the train voucher over again to buy more hot drinks at £1. Note* it doesn't mention anything on the voucher about the hot drinks offer but the staff on board are fully aware of the hot drink offer and have a button on their payment device set up to take the £1 hot drink payments.

To re-cap.
First train out you can take is 10.30am.
First train back is 7pm
Hot drinks £1

You need to get your voucher stamped/validated at the Norwich Train Station Ticket office. Which is basically a date stamp allowing you to use the voucher on that day. No need to book in advance, just walk up and get it stamped on the day you wish to travel.

Hope i've covered all the questions i had before using the voucher myself today : )
