Bye Bye Barclaycard

So I just paid £313.71 to Barclaycard and my account is now clear. Ahh it's been a fun 27.9% apr time... not. I'll close it when it clears. Anyway that leaves me with just one credit card, one overdraft (although im claiming a third of it back through MCOL), a NHS bill from uni and hmm yeh that's about it really.

Ta da.

    Well done Matt!

I am similar to you in that I have one credit card balance to deal with (next month) and an overdraft (in the next 2 - 3 months).....and thereafter a loan.

It feels great to see them dropping off and I am so pleased for you too.

    I really don't understand Barclaycard.

Been with them for about 5 years. Missed one or two payments, nothing major, regular user of their card. How do I get rewarded for my loyalty - 27.9% APR!!!!!

The other month I was under my limit, then the interest got added on and I went 23p over the limit. They then charged me £12!!

Although I was originally keen to keep the card going as it looks good on my credit report, but know I was it to be gone!!
  • Enjoyed cutting mine up into really tiny pieces....
THE LONG AND THE SLOW ROAD SEEM TO APPLY TO DEBTS AND DIETS... THE TWO THINGS I WANT TO SEE THE BACK OF...:D
  • They reward my loyal custom with 21% APR, I am going to reward their greed by telling them where to stick it.
