Bigmuffins, I can confirm that the slow cooker you saw is priced at £12.49 - it's half price at the moment. I bought one a few days ago, but can't tell you what it's like as it's still in the box.
Regards the Cookworks one from Argos...I've had two of these already. The ceramic pot on both of them developed lots of hairline cracks and liquid seeped through. I thought I was doing something wrong with the first one, and so was very careful with the second one. (ie didn't put the pot in the dishwasher, always used hot liquid as per the instruction booklet). But for both to develop the same fault is surely more than coincidence. I wouldn't touch them with a six foot barge pole now.0 -

Didn't get a chance to go in today - will have to go tomorrow morning to see if is still there!
I love the idea of SC but cook a lot of indian dishes and don't know if will work with SC (I am talking authentic curries as opposed to anglicised ones - no disrespect intended!) although I do make spag bol/chicken casserole etc once in a while.
Anyone got any recipes or pointers for using SC for authentic curries?0
