I have had a very positive DFW day -
Checked credit file for me and DP.
Identified several credit cards which are no longer in use but have never been closed. Wrote all the letters and got them sent off.
Found said credit cards and had a cathartic moment whilst cutting them up;)
Updated records for CPP and sent a new list off.
Banked my £2 and 20p coins - that's another £30
Did a store cupboard and freezer inventory and then went shopping - £17.10 on the market for fruit and veg, £7.50 in Lidl for bread, milk, sandwich fillings and yoghurts. Normal Saturday shop is about £90 compared to £24.60 today. My aim for this month is to get under £150 by using what we have.
Took back unwanted Xmas pressie to Debenhams and had a gift receipt so was able to get a refund of the full amount. This was then spent on a new duvet £36 in the sale, reduced from £120. Much more useful to me than curling tongs, as I already have curly hair;)
Bought the Sun to get the holiday voucher.
Booked a holiday at Butlins for half term using Clubcard vouchers.
Now off to have a well deserved glass of wine
Happy New Year

Well done you. Its a nice feeling. I started today too.
I cleared out all my unwanted shoes for the blue peter appeal and was very ruthless, as I am seriously de- clutering this year.
I did a mental stock take of all the food cupboards and have resolved to reduce the contents to about 25% of what's there.
I took my new bike out to the shops instead of taking the car.
I signed up for the LLoyds tsb scheme for getting extra money from your debit card.
I got the sun - never organised myself into booking a sun holiday before.0 -
