    Hi lrswelcome.gif!
    Morning chaps!

I've finally made a massive step and quitted my job were i was being bullied by boss. It was such a relief telling my senior boss, that i wanted to leave and instead of working for 4 weeks instead of my normal shift she let me go at the end of this shift. i am so happy:j
I can imagine that took a lot of courage lrs. I'm glad you're happy with the result hun. Did you tell your senior boss why? What was her reaction?
I don't know your situation angel but you may wish to go to CAB and talk to them about the situation as you may be able to claim constructive dismissal if you left your job due to the pressures of bullying. I don't know the ins and outs and it's always best to see the experts.;)

but because i was from work and college i;ve got a massive backlog of college work, I am really anxious about going back to college tomorrow morning and seeing people I really don't want to see. I've been off work and college with stress and i've literally stayed in my bedroom watching telly for the past 2 weeks. I've been taking Cipralex 20mg since August 2006 and prior to that i was Escitolpram 10mg from January 2006 but my GP doubled it due to further problems.
May I ask who you don't want to see at college lrs? There is a lot of student support available. Is it because you are so far behind hun? At least with work not being an issue right now, you'll have less pressure and more study time.
Also if you are so affected by depression that are unable to work/study angel, again I'd suggest talking to your CAB and/or your CPN about the possiblity of claiming DLA, especially as this is a long term problem from what you wrote.
I don't know how often you see your CPN hun, but if you're isolating yourself this much and feel so stressed, maybe you should get in touch with them. I'd also suggest going to see your gp hun and get a check up with them to see if there's any changes to meds needed.

I've also been seeing my CPN since april 2006 and I am waiting for CBT which seems to be taking ages but i've been warned about the wait.
The waiting lists for anything connected with mental health treatments show how badly underfunded this area is. Of course hun, if your health is worse, you could be reassessed and moved up the list if necessary. Either way angel, it's time to get in touch with your medical team instead of spending 2 weeks in your room. You deserve better than that.;)

Basically i am just wanting to look at ways of filling the gap in my time that has been left from my part-time work. I am looking for any help and advice and it will be greatly appreciated :o:o
It's a good idea to stay active if you can lrs. And of course I'll be among many to suggest some form of voluntary work.;) Contact your local volunteers bureau hun and see what they have on offer. It could be anything from reading books to tape for blind people, riding for the disabled, working in their or another charity's offices to working in the high street charity shops. There really is a huge variety of voluntary things you could do.
Your CPN will know too, of options in your area that will be suited to your health needs. It's probably best to get back in touch with your medical team hun and then take it from there. You don't want to jump into something that you won't enjoy if you're feeling poorly because then that will curb your enthusiasm and it will feel like a negative experience. Hope this helped you lrs!hug.gif Take care.
    Much Love,
    Tiff xxx

Thank you Tiff for your lovely kind message. it put a lovely warm smile on my face when i got home from college today :D

I told my senior boss what had happened with me and my team manager and she took him in the office and she gave him a good telling off I think :T because he could hardly look at me for the rest of the night :rotfl: The thing that does worry me about trying to claim CCD could it possibly affect the reference that the company gave me? as i'd like to think i parted on good terms as when i left it was all smiles and handshakes.

at college i am mostly concerned about the people, i've always distanced myself from people at college. I think this because all my friends left a year ago and i never really made friends with anyone else. The problem with college is that originally when i first went there after high school in sept 2004 i had bad GCSE'S because i was bullied in my final few years and that had a large impact on my school work as I really just let them 'get' to me. Thus because of my poor GCSE result i have had to do a 3 years at college. Unfortunately i was put in a class with people who were a year younger and immature. I never really gelled with the people in my class as i prefer the company of adults, i think i get on better with my teachers than the students to be honest (teachers pet :o.)
However i do have some people that i do talk to quite often and they are nice people but they dont know about my health and I really dont want them to know about it so it was a pain having to make up an excuse for being off for 2weeks but i just said in typical student fashion "i couldnt be !!!!!d coming in."

I do see my CPN every 3 weeks for an hour and he's very good but in September i am hopefully going to Bristol to study law and i am concerned that if I move to another location then i'll be put on the CBT waiting list in Bristol so it might be another 18 months before i get seen even my CPN is concerned about that.

I would really like to get back into some kind of work but at the moment getting the best grades at my A-levels are the priority. I've always fancied working in a prison but that'd probably do more harm than good. However i dont know, i may look at that when i've settled down at UNI and the student loan is drying up ;)

Once again thank you ever so much for your lovely message :j
