Memorial Candles?

Hi there,
A while back some of you posted links to a lady on ebay who made these up and personalised them for you - any ideas where I can find that info please?
I lost my grandmother 5 years ago now but we were very close and I wanted to have a 'memory table' somewhere at the reception with pics of loved ones and thought the candle would be a nice addition too.
Thanks

Accept that some days you're the pigeon, and some days you're the statue. Only fools are statues every day. (15.09.12 cant wait!)0

Hi can I slightly hijack your thread? I have been looking at having a nod to my dad whos passed away, at our wedding and was thinking of having a photo of him and a memorial candle on the cake table (in a hurricane vase or similar) but my h2b thinks its morbid! Any suggestions?Ideas, help and advice always welcome, judgements and assumptions are not!!:happyhearMarrying my Mr Perfect 2013

i think if done wrong then it could be very morbid
but if done right it can be a celebration of them and including them in your day i think it would be beautiful but ensure people understand the significance
also the other worry is if u r inviting ur cousins or something and you aunt has died then having something for 1 member of the family who has gone and not others might upset some peopleThe only people I have to answer to are my beautiful babies aged 8 and 50 -

Myself and my H2B are kind of in the same situation with various relatives & friends that have passed away. Rather than a candle, we're thinking of going with an absence tree (not sure what to call it, I prefer memory, he likes absent friends). I'm not sure what plant yet, but something like a small bonsai tree that has sturdy enough branches to take small tags. Attached to that we'll have tags with little photos (kind of like a small luggage tag idea), and possibly some blank ones for people to add messages etc. Also a good way to cover people who can't make the wedding.
Don't know what you think but it doesn't seem quite so morbid like that, and we can keep the plant afterwards.LBM August 2010 @ circa £12000 :eek:Estimated DFD [STRIKE]November 2014[/STRIKE] October 2015 _pale_DMP Mutual Support Thead No. 4220 -
I got a memorial candle for both our grandads from this lady -

She was very helpful and the candle was beautiful.
We had the candle at the front of church on the altar, so it was in full view, but we didnt draw particular attention to it as the passing of my grandad is quite recent and still very raw for my family. We also didnt want it to seem morbid. It worked very well and was a lovely touch.
