Egg Loan and Moorgate..worth watching your balance

As I'm sure most people with an Egg loan are aware Moorgate Loan Servicing are now responsible for taking payments.
For the period of my loan payments have always left my account on time and I have never had any problems, until now.
This months payment should have gone out on the 4th, and although my bank had allowed for the deduction in available balance, the money was never taken. I tried phoning Moorgate numerous times on Monday but was held far too long in a queue, so e-mailed them instead.
Today an advisor rung me and told me that a payment had not been taken because Egg had advised them that I requested a payment holiday, which I hadn't.
What was annoying was the fact that on Monday Moorgate sent me a statement showing that I had only this month and next to pay and then the loan would be cleared.
So how did a payment holiday mysteriously appear?
Nice way for them to gain an extra months interest.
I paid using my debit card and the guy said he would e-mail me a receipt, which I got which amounted to a one line notepad .txt document, very professional!
If you're an Egg/ Moorgate loan customer you'd best check what's happened to your direct debits.....
