CCCS and what to expect

I am about to submit my information to CCCS for a solution (DMP) to sort out my nightmare of debts.
I have contacted my Bank to say I have lost my Debit Card so they can’t try to get any money out of my Account (not that there is any in there anyway) and have opened a new one.
Can I ask you :
When sending people I owe an initial nominal £1 Postal Order with an accompanying letter, will they hound me with letters and phone calls ?
Will CCCS take care of this or do I have to speak to them myself ?
Do I continue to pay £1 per month to them all, as my estimated amount available will be £88 for 8 debts totalling £8000 ?
What are the chances of having Bailiffs coming to my door ?
Thanks for your help.

Yes they have a set procedure to keep up with the letters & phone calls as long as it takes you to set up the CCCS payments. You just have to be firm with them and state you are in the process of setting up your DMP and this is what you have been advised to do in the meantime. Of course you could just unplug the phone if it gets a bit too much ...
Will CCCS take care of this or do I have to speak to them myself ? CCCS will notify your creditors of the start of the DMP, and how much they will pay each one and ask them to freeze the credit. Before this stage you will have to try and hold off your creditors yourself. But CCCS do act fairly swiftly. Be aware that some creditors take a couple of months to acknowledge the DMP - I had to ask CCCS to write to Natwest 3 times before they noticed the DMP!
Do I continue to pay £1 per month to them all, as my estimated amount available will be £88 for 8 debts totalling £8000 ? Not sure I fully understand your question, but I've always understood that you should pay £1 per month to all your creditors until the DMP starts
What are the chances of having Bailiffs coming to my door ? We held off our creditors for 3 months before our DMP started - just kept in touch and kept paying them £1 per month. They don't like it but at no point were bailiffs mentioned
Thanks for your help.
Hi, We set up our DMP last year with CCCS, although I'm no expert I've answered your questions above based on our experience last year. Hope this Helps0 -
Many thanks,
So I send them an inititial £1 Postal Order each and then I deal with the CCCS to arrange further payments from what I can afford.
