Cheap Sat Nav covering Europe

we are going to be driving through France/ Italy one off trip and want a Sat Nav that covers Europe- and hopefully shows hotels and petrol stations. ( and hopefully it will save the rows when I navigate):cool:

It would be cheaper to borrow one, but we dont know of anyone with one.

As I say want the cheapest option possible ( tried looking on ebay it is confusing 99p + £85 P & P)

I have seen this and it appears the cheapest, but was hoping for cheaper and once there it will never be used again,

also what countries are covered by western europe?

Yes it appears to only say pre-loaded maps for UK, Republic of Ireland and Western Europe.

I believe it covers Italy so should also cover France as well as they are part of Western Europe.

In the meantime call there helpline for any further information 01325 304 473. If I find any other info I'll post it here.

Incidentally, it says on binatonegps.com: up to thousands of pre-installed points of interest to find petrol station, restaurants, hotels, parking… depending on the country region.

BINATONE F430 WITH UK AND REPUBLIC OF IRELAND £37.99 + £2.99 eBay Argos Outlet. Appears to be only pre-loaded with maps for UK and Republic of Ireland unlike the one above.

You can get additional maps on SD card for Western Europe, Eastern Europe and the whole of Europe as well. If you go for the one on eBay it might be worth checking if you can get an SD card cheaper elsewhere if eBay isn't cheapest, if you have time that is.

I couldn't see any with pre-loaded European maps on the eBay Argos Outlet though you could check all the same.

Incidentally, I have information here which says the European maps go as far east as Germany, Austria and Italy including Scandanavia.

Tesco outlet on Ebay have a Tomtom xl europe refurb for £99.98 with free delivery, for some reason it will not let me add the link, so the item number is 290598625564

We have one of these and it is brilliant, we drive to Spain a couple of times a year and it has never failed, we got ours from the Tomtom outlet site, these are also refurbs and you still get warranty with them,
