A big thank you to everyone for all the tips advice and help I have received since becoming a member here! and it all started by reading the thrifty ways book
I used our breadmaker for the first time all by myself yesterday (hubby did it in the past) after it had been sitting in our shead for the past few years and I made a wonderful loaf of bread, Very proud of my little self! and I currently have a pie in the oven with hm pastry and the filling is a recipie for a veg soup I found on here (had soup and this is the leftovers)
Just wanted to let you know I think your all wonderful :T :T

And so you should be proud of yourself, *very* proud indeed
Actually, I feel very proud *of* you! Those are quite some accomplishments in such a short amount of time.
Keep up the good work, it can be very rewarding:T

I was just about to post something very similar, so I'll tag onto yours. Found the site when a mate of mine forwarded the mailout. This forum in particular has helped me SO much, I cannot tell you......I've just moved house (which set me back a few quid) and was looking for ways to save money and live more ethically.
Obviously I've bought the Thrifty Ways book!
Just went to Sainsbury's and did a big shop. For first time ever, no processed food, sugary snacks etc. The whole thing costs me £20, including organic veg and some meat. I used to spend £60+ per week!
I've been baking my own bread, cooking everything from scratch and planning meals properly. I wouldn't have had the motivation to do any of this if I hadn't been lurking around these boards the past few weeks.
So Thanks to all the MSE OS'ers - have a good 2007!!
