Thought it would be simple to buy travel insurance for daughter (leaving Friday!) going to Germany for 12 months. The problem is that she will probably be away for periods longer than the max. single length of stay (approx. 3 months) and will want to return to the UK a couple of times within the 12 months. This plan (or lack of plan) doesn't seem to fall into either multi trip or backpacker categories.
Can anyone suggest an alternative policy or am I restricted by what looks like insurers regulations?

Is she going to live in Germany,
if she is, its not travel insurance she needs as she wont be on holiday.
she would need holiday insurance if she was coming back here for a holiday if you see what I mean.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
