Spare Euros

I've been having a clearout and found about £30 worth of Euro left over from a few trips back when i had money!

Was wondering if there ws anywhere in the UK we knew of I could spend them (on a present for a friends birthday or suchlike) as it doesnt seem worth cashing such a small amount in?

  • You can ask shops and they may sell you the item in € but the exchange rate would be around 0.63.

The last I heard was a while ago....Marks & Spencer in Marble Arch store, London & HMV in London were taking them but don't know anywhere else.

Not much use if you are not in London I guess!

If it were me, I'd cash 'em in at the Post Office if possible.

Many shops, particularly in the larger towns and cities, will actually accept euros, as do a lot of phone boxes. My sister-in-law, over from Italy, paid euros in M&S last week - not the best rate, but reasonable.

Could always flog them at work, then you'll both get a good deal (unless the buyer has Nationwide cards...).
