I personally don't think so. If your in Belfast anyway yes it's a nice treat, but I wouldn't be making the effort to go and all the associated costs.

£12 a ticket, buy your drinks and popcorn, you will get free refills although who wants to leave a film after it starts

Slightly off topic, but there is a deal today on grab one (a site like groupon) for Movie House cinema tickets for £1. Limit is one per customer, but you can also buy one as a gift. At £2 it is a [STRIKE]cheap[/STRIKE] MSE style date!

If you want to make it anything like good value, you need a strong bladder! Go early and get a few coffees (espresso machine) which are 'free'. Big comfy recliner seats. You're quite far away from whoever you're with though, remember not to shout! Have a coffee afterwards.

I personally think it is good. The last time that I went was for The Hangover Pt2 and there were two other people in the cinema who were sitting on the other side. It is comfortable and intimate. What I did the last time as well was hammered my way through the large drink & popcorn so to get good value by getting a refill on it. Did this before the movie actually started and was able to put a big dent in them. lol. They're big airport First Class-type recliner seats that you can spwal across. Hammer the popcorn and drink into you and get yourself a refill after the trailers end. Call me tight/a pig/whatever, but it gave me that little bit of satisfaction. Plus the film I saw would have been packed and full of folk laughing at every remotely funny bit, so IMO I was right to see it on the V.I.P. screens.....
  • Anyone been in the odyssey VIP lately?

Went on Friday night to the disappointment that they have changed the seats to the most uncomfortable seats, even worse than the ordinary cinema seats.

Will not be paying the money again for the VIP if the old seat don't return!!
