Bad credit rating

Morning,

Please can you advise if you have defaults against your name do they dissappear after 6 years? Or do I need to do anything. Once they go will my credit rating be ok?

Thanks for your help.

After 6years they go automatically. And your credit rating/ability to get new credit should improve.

If all your accounts have defaulted and you have no current ongoing credit that is being repaid in full each time then you'll likely need to start building a good credit history from scratch - usually with something like subprime cards. Obviously if you still have cards etc open and are paying everything on time with those then you will already be showing postive behaviour.
