Just when things were looking up...we have had to buy a new dehumidifier (£119.99) as we have a serious condensation problem now affecting asthma sufferers in the house
and
My 8 yr old came home with a school trip form asking for £92 to go!
I know we are lucky as our debts are only £265 incl trip, but sometimes i feel like we go 1 step forward & 2 steps back. But we are desparately trying to save for new central heating as our back boilers is old and rubbish and the system is a one pipe one and it is sooooo cold in our house (which is most likely why we have a condensation problem).
Anyway we have cut back on everything, swapped all suppliers possible and we never go out (except to work & school), but morgage & bills just keep rising.
Does anyone else feel disheartened?

Yep! I posted a few months ago to say that I thought my domestic appliances were ganging up on me, as everything seemed to break at once. £92 is a LOT for a school trip - are the going abroad or something?
At least you haven't been out and run up a huge debt on unnecessary sales shopping - the dehumidifier is something you do actually NEED.
Hope things start to run more smoothly for you now for a while, to give you chance to save up for the central heating!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Thanks
The £92 is for two nights in Ilam Derbyshire. I think we also have to buy her walking boots as they have an 8 mile walk to do one day....money money money!0 -
I know the feeling too! I have just had a HUGE step backwards to come to terms with, to the tune of £1833!
I was really down for a couple of days, and I posted here yesterday and that made me feel better! I also got a cheque through the post this morning from one of the cashback sites for £17.60. Ok, so it is not a huge amount but it was something positive to remotivate me.
I suppose all we have to do is try to remember the big picture - we are better off that we were before we started using this site, and again because of it we are better able to deal with a crisis when it arrives (like the 0% CC I have been able to put this new amount on!)
We will get there one day :T
