Third Time Lucky with a Date!!

Well, we have now RE, RE booked our Wedding for Sunday 6 May. Its the second time we have had to re book it, first time, the venue were incompetent, second time, the ex manager took a booking, took the deposit and then did a runner! The venue then booked us onto the date and then discovered the paperwork shoved in a folder.

We have got the following booked and sorted:

Venue (includes disco in the evening)
Registrar
Dress
Cake
Cheese cake
Bridesmaid dress (only having 1)
Evening Invites are ready to be made
Appointment to give notice is made
Confirm the Band price and availability

I did have the photographer booked, but she cant do the new date. We had a real bargain with the last one, but I doubt we will get anything like now with a new one. Does anyone know a good photographer in the South Staffordshire area who doesnt cost the earth!!

Oh my goodness! I'm so sorry to hear you've had such a stressful time of it. I will bekeeping fingers and toes crossed that everything goes smoothly for you from now on.
I'm sad to lose you from the August thread, but will pop in to the May one from time to time to see how you're getting on.

Bless, you really have been unlucky! It seems to me that other people's actions have effectively dictated when you will marry your OH.

I don't have any experience of hiring a photographer, but can I ask a question instead? Why wait until May to get married? - ie why not have a v. low key wedding asap and have the blessing / reception you want as per your plans for May?

We were having it on 25 August 2012, then moved it forward to June 3rd 2012, now its May 6th 2012!

We dont want to bring it forward any further as we both want to lose weight and the date is actually quite suitable now!

O my hun what a nightmare.i can recomend a photographer who is the cheapest in the tamworth area,cant see why he wouldnt travel to you, worth a try

Sounds as though you've had a bumpy ride, but glad things are getting sorted for you. Your new date should be lovely and is a bank holiday too which should be appreciated by your guests. Pop over to the May board, we're a lovely group (if I say so myself!) and we'd love to hear exactly what you're planning.
