hello
my husband starts his new job on the 15th jan , where he works now he is on a weekly wage !! but his new job will be monthly also its about the same wages as he is on now , also when do we contact the child tax credit people ? im really stuck as what to do . because he will have a set wage and a bonus added every month so it works out almost the same wage as he is on now , maybe a little bit more but not much , also the job he is in now he pay into a private pension , his new job has a pension scheme as well , he is going to join that at a later date , also at the moment we have to deduct his pension he pays into from his p60 figure because its not deducted from his final p60 figure.
so my questions are :
final salary figure , when do i give them that ? now or when the annual paperwork comes out from the child tax credit ? or do i give them an estimate of his new wages from his new job ? with the pension deducted from his p45.
oh im stuck !!!!
please if anyone understands my message , please help !!!
thankyou very much
from kerry....
p.s his first wage from his new job will be 24th feb 5 weeks untill his 1st wage.

Ring them and ask what they want to know!
I imagine they'll want to know his annual gross income, even if it is an estimate at this stage. Give them the raw figures - if you give them what you think they might need you might get it wrong and then they'll come a'knockin wanting their gold sovereigns back.0 -
The Tax Credits office recently told me that they cannot take account of anything that hasn't yet happened, so there's no point contacting them before your husband starts his new job. I would recommend contacting them once your husband has his first monthly payslip, as they will want to know the difference between his new monthly income and his old monthly income to see if any recalculation needs to be made. From what you say, the sums will be much the same, so it's likely that your tax credits will remain unchanged.
As regards the pensions, tax credits are worked out on gross income, so my understanding is that pension payments are not taken into account.
I hope that helps.Debt at highest: £6,290.72 (14.2.1999)
