I try an remember to stick newest cans at the back, but I'm also not worried about sell by dates on cans. A can is a pretty perfect method of preservation, nothing is going to happen if you don't use it for a couple of months (or even years, in my case!) after the date on the can.

I have used some seriously old cans (eg a can of condensed milk 5+ years out of date a few months ago) and couldn't tell any difference and we're all still alive!

:) I've got a lot of my tins under the bed, in a couple of wheeled trolleys (want two more ideally, if the car boot fairy helps). I wirite the purchase date in felt pen on the top of the can as it's easier than squinting at tiny best befores.

When I restock the kitchen cupboad, I "shop" the storage and when I bring new cans in, they go under the bed. HTH.

I noticed the other day that Ikea sell "under cupboard drawers" that fit behind the kick board of your kitchen units - a perfect solution to getting full value out of every inch of space and an ideal place to store canned goods :D.

Does anyone know where you can get something like this http://canorganizer.com/can-organizers/ ?

They look amazing! I want to fill my pantry with them! Unfortunately they don't ship outside of the US. :(
