advantage credit

hi all,
i have recently had calls from "advantage credit" who may actually be called "advantis credit". the 1st call i answered they said i owe £85 for a water bill in 2006 from a previous address. i disputed this as i dont usually leave bills unpaid but being 5 years ago i cant be 100% sure. today i have just missed their call which message says urgently call but left no details nor any name of who they wanted.
they have also phoned my elderly disabled father asking for me despite being told i dont live there they keep ringing him causing him distress.
should i acknowledge this debt and pay just to stop the calls or ignore them and hope they go away?
also will the debt be written off next year being 6 years past??

If you do answer the phone to them again ask them to write to you with details and proof of the alleged debt.
Don't just pay up without some proof that its your debt and that the debt even exists.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
