OP, I don't think it is beauty flash balm because although it is good for freshening the skin up, if your mum is getting older and has quite a few wrinkles I think it is more likely to be instant smooth. It is a waxy type cream that fills in wrinkles http://fr.clarins.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/beauty-products_gift-sets_instant-smooth-perfecting-touch_C050105002_10201_11751_-11_32751

Beauty flash balm comes in a white tube compared with the instant smooth which is in a small red pot.

Hi Ali-T, thanks for searching out an alternative. I actually got my Dad to check for the sample pot and he confirmed it as the Flash Balm.

She currently has those "happy" wrinkles and a young look if you know what I mean, they're not very deep set but I will certainly remember your recommendation for a few years time for her! (Although, by the time she needs it, I reckon I will too - I am not going to age well!)

Thanks so much for all your help in finding the product and helping me get it at such a bargain price too!

I have discovered that the No 7 Time Delay Skin Treatments Radiance Booster is almost identical to the Clarins Beauty Flash Balm.

Costs £7.14 for 50ml. Well worth a try if you like the Clarins product but want to be MSE.
