Our possible poem for money for bathroom

So yes I've read the lived in sin rhymed with kitchen bin one but my friend had that so feels a little like stealing. What do you think to this?

We’ve had a lot of people ask
Would you like presents or should it be brass?
Instead of presents for the bride and groom
We have had a think and we’d like a new bathroom

We’d love you to come and share our day
and money would help us tile our way
so next time you pop to our house or call for a brew
you’ll find your gift has helped fund our loo!

For what it is - asking your guests to fund a new bathroom - it's alright.

My friend asked for B & Q vouchers, there was a small piece of paper in the invite, along the lines of:_
should you wish to get us a gift and are stuck on ideas, a B & Q voucher would be lovely as we are doing up the bathroom.

Most people got them B &Q vouchers, and they were well made up.

Have a lovely time at your wedding.

Thanks guys. I'm really asking just about the words, not for opinions about asking for money, I dont really mind if people arent keen on the idea, it's our day, and our friends are happy to do that, in all honesty a lot are breathing a sigh of relief as we are awkward to buy for! So if you have negatives on the money aspect, please keep it to another thread (which is meant with no nastiness at all but it's not what i'm asking).

    I kinda like it! x

The poem made me smile, if I was a guest of yours, I'd happily pay for a tile.

I just think there are better poems out there. :)

That being said though - I'm generally against poems/gift lists being included in an invite. I would say if people ask you what you'd like then you can tell them you've got everything you'd like/need and would therefore like money/vouchers towards x y or z.
