Thanks for the advice, sorry to hear about your situation! I wish my mum and dad could help me but they have no idea of my debt hell and wouldnt be able to lend me money as they havent got any spare.
The form is so confusing which doesnt help..in the form im supposed to send back I have a choice of ticking either 'I admit the full amount claimed'' or ''I admit the amount of £___" where I am supposed to write how much. What confuses me are the solicitor and court fee, am I really not liable to pay both? If not I feel tempted to just put Ill pay the amount I owe without the fees but I dont want this to end up with me getting a CCJ. So confused!0 -
The one thing I'm sure I've heard (you would definitely want to have this confirmed though) is I'm sure you have 14 days from court date to fully settle the debt without it having an impact on your credit file. So that would fit in with you paying on 27th.
even if you don't and settle afterwards, as long a you do it within one month of the ccj then the ccj and any mark on your files is cancelled. you would have to pay any additional costs awarded by the court so would be better to sort it before. but not everything is lost if you can't0 -
