I thought I would ask here before I ditched the water.
My kids 12ft paddling pool has gone green and has a few mosquito larva floating around in it. I have some algacide but it just stops algae forming, I do not think it kill and clean what is in there.
Is there anything OS I can add without it hurting the children?
Thank you.

Empty it and scrub it out with a diluted bleach solution then hose it down or even better if you have a pressure washer. Refill it and make a note in your diary to repeat this before the algae and beasties get a hold again.0

It needs draining before the algae realises toxins, very nasty stuff.
drain , wash, refill and add half a dozen bags of 30p salt.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Perfect, thank you. I thought I would try if I could. Can wait til tomorrow now though!! I'll jet wash it down - can I ask what the salt does and whether it'll effect the swimming pool chemicals I have to add (I bought some but forgot to use them). Thank you.0

If you're adding specially bought chemicals I'd be inclined to forget about the salt. It's probably already in what you've bought.0
