When do tesco class me as a new customer?

Hi,

I currently have a tesco credit card and im looking at cancelling to wait a while then re-apply to get another interest free period.

Does anyone know how long tesco take to class you as a new customer again?

Many thanks

    About 6 to 8 months..
  • I didn't realise you could do this. Can you keep doing this with a few credit cards then to pretty much always be int he interest free period? Would this affect credit rating at all?

All cards have differing wait periods (after closure) before you can re-sign up as a 'new' customer. It ranges from 31 days to 12 months.
