Monday 15th August 2011 What small DFW things will you do today????

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.

Morning Gang

Hello to all

Well, Monday – where did the weekend go?

Anyhow, thought I’d start the thread as I am running late to get my normal train (the next one leaves ½ hour later)

Today I have/will do:
• Meals from stores
• LSD – might be able to get away with a NSD
• Do my nails – file and buff to within an inch of their life
• Put change in coke bottle
• Read newspapers online
• Used rail pass to get to work
• Read free paper on the train
• Checked online banking – no change
• Do online comps
• Done a couple of surveys
• Drink plenty of water
• Take meds to sort out hormones
• Put washing on at 30 degrees
• Need to catch up with the thread from this week as been really busy
• Fill in online and paper food diary
• Off to the docs after work – if I get a prescription I will use my prepay certificate to pay for it

Think that is about it – I am sure there will be things I have forgotten.

Have a fabby one!

  • Morning everyone.
After my second weekend of partying this month is really time to crack down and sort out money, weight and lives. :o
Priorities at the moment are to save up a moving fund (think we will need about £2000 by the time I get deposit, 1st months rent and a decent mattress!) Don't want to be upping sticks 200 miles and us both changing jobs then having a cash crisis for all of thoses things that crop up when you move.
Finish college course (can't look for new job till I have done this as it is tied in to work and it will make it easier to find new job if qualified.)
Declutter (this seems to be an ongoing slow process but need to step it up a gear and get stuff on Ebay as well)

I'm off today so the list is:
Start ploughing through the washing mountain and it some dried on line.
Clean out our 2nd fridge and switch it off (don't really need it running as have a fridge freezer running too and can easily fit food in that) :o
Drop off some bags of books to charity shop. (they didn't sell at car boot).
Walk dogs up to work office to pick up my rotas for this week.
COLLEGE WORK - at least one large unit today.
Phone bank as my pin sentry device has packed in and I can't access my online banking.
At least 3 items on Ebay tonight, plus a relist that didn't sell last night.
Am waiting for payment for 2 items that sold last night (99p and £1.24 LOL) but will get them packed ready to go asap.
    Healthyish meals from stores.

    Have a good day everyone!
