Earn extra money???

Hi, I work full time as a trainee accountant and earn 250 quid a week. I want to save this and live of the money I make from other income. Any ideas on what other ways I could make extra money (at home, or on internet), a few of my mates mentioned laying bets on Betfair, although I don't think this is a good idea. Anyone with any better suggestions id like to hear them, serious ones only please!
Also i don't want to spend time filling in them online polls as i don't feel there worth the time and effort
look forward to your reply

listen to your mates, get refered by one of your mates join betfair, look for a good offer at an online bookie, place the back bets at the bookies then lay at betfair and watch the money roll in your bank account.
you should be able to get your head round the figures quite easily but to make life really easy have a look at freebets4all they show you how much to bet and how to set the bets up if your not sure.0 -
why don't you just "cook the books" for some local small traders using your accounting expertise?0

It depends what kind of job you want.
If you want something social and a total break from the day job then something like bar work etc is pretty laid back.
You could work from home if you have any particular freelancing talents.
Also there's nothing stopping you from starting up your own business.0 -
£250 a week, even for a Trainee, seems low to me - is this competitive?
Your friends are half-right about laying bets but please don't let them tell you just to lay teams/horses that are "likely" to lose - it's a sure fire way of losing all your money.
Definitely do what makemesumdosh said and check out freebets4all. I've made around £2.5k from Matched Betting since April (using friends and family accounts too). It's definitely helped me out!0 -
IVM and makemesumdosh, not really sure what you mean with regards betfair, can you explain? Also for example, if i bet on a horse on ladbrokes a tenner at 6/1 my return is 70 quid if it wins. if i lay the same horse on betfair at a tenner at 8/1 (as betfair odds r always higher) it wil cost me 90 quid to pay out, therefore in total its a 20 quid loss. (90 from betfair minus the 70 from ladbrokes) . if the horse loses i lose my tenner at ladbrokes but gain a tenner at betfair, and after betfairs commission i then make a small loss, either way it doesnt help me make profit. is this what you meant by your comments? Sorry if iv misread you? Just Confused by what you were trying to say..... look forward to your reply, thanks0

go on freebets4all have a look at the automatcher section.
this will explain who to open an account with, how much to bet with say ladbrokes to receive your free bet. then it will tell you how much to lay at betfair. regardless of the result of the football match your return will be the same.
with the initial outlay at ladbrokes and betfair you will probably showing a paper loss of around £1.00 but betfair will give you £25 if you are referred and quote somebodys referral code you just have to PM (send personal message to someone on this site who uses betfair including myself). also you then get the free bet from ladbrokes, was £50 last weekend not sure what it is now but i would be looking for a bookie which gave me £50 when i bet £50.
This free £50 will return around £37- £42 depending on the amount you have to lay in betfair.
All this is explained on freebets4all, including lots of bookies and how much the free bet is. stick to UK bookies for the time being.
any questions or help in setting up a bet PM me and i'll set one up for you, plenty of midweek games so you could set on up on tues and use free bet on weds.
a starting kitty of £200 on tues will be up to £260 by 10pm weds night
ps; don't sign up for betfair through freebet4all because the £25 freebet on their link on pays out on losing bets where if you get referred its guaranteed regardless of the result.0 -

lol, over the years i have had about 7 accounts with betfair.
i just used a differant bank card and email address and each time received the bonus. last time i did this was 12 months ago.
another exchange is BETDAQ but they only refund if your first bet loses up to maximum of £30. go through freebets4all and they give you £10 cashback if you join them0 -
Hi
Have you thought about doing paid online surveys. You can make money sellers stuff on ebay. I knew someone who did that and he made a few pennies. You could also become a virtual assistant online offering accountancy advice. Or even tutor students.
Anyway I hope this helps you a little.0
