Help needed removing incorrect default on credit file

I recently discovered that I have been a victim of credit fraud which has resulted in 2 defaults on my credit file. One of the defaults has been removed (by Capital One). The other is from HFO Services.
I have disputed the defaults with Experian; the date of birth is not my DOB and the address is not correct (it is my prior address). Experian say the defaults can only be removed with permission from the creditor.
I have written to HFO Services but they tell me it has to be investigated by the originator, who I believe to be Barclaycard
I have spoken to Barclaycard who have no record of the debt, but cant investigate further without an account number, which HFO Services have refused to provide.
This has been dragging on for over 2 months, after many letters and phone calls I 'm going round in circles.
I would very much appreciate advice on how to proceed.
