    Well that was short. He obviously didn't want to dwell on that subject for too long(!) :rolleyes:

    The interviewer asked about spiralling consumer debts, unsustainable high house prices, etc. He (Group Chief Exec, I think the banner said) answered like a politician. He said the economy was strong, inflation low, unemployment low, nothing to worry about but that they have dedicated teams to help customers who are struggling financially.

    She asked why the credit card interest rates didn't reflect changes in the BofE base rate and he said they do, just not "mechanically".

    Helping customers who are struggling financially? They could start by reducing their credit card APR from 14.9%!
