What sort of food are you thinking of putting in it?
Not seen same thing but asda etc do a wide mouthed food flask for about £6 - £7. My OH used to use one for chilli, soup, etc. It had a bowl that screwed on the bottom to pour the food into and stayed hot till lunchtime no probs.
Wasn't steel though but had no glass interior, think it was insulated with foam stuff.
    Hope that helps

If you search for thermos lunch bag/box should come up with lots :) Sure my friend got hers on eBay. Just looks like a bag but puts pots of hot food in and keeps them hot. Think it's the Thermos Duo Lunch Kit. Have them advertised on Amazon too.
One day I might be more organised...........

Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb
  • I bought one in my local Woolworths today - plastic with foam insulation, keeps hot food hot for 6 hours and cold food cold for longer - 12 hours. There is a foldaway spoon in the lid compartment. Capacity = 500 mls. Suits my needs - to take chunky soup to work for lunch.:D
If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.

They're very good, but does anyone know of one that's more square and flat, so one could eat solid food straight from it?

BTW, the one the OP showed looks like a tiffin pot - very popular in India, and apparently quite a lot of big stores like John Lewis now stock them. Several on ebay

When my children were at school we had insulated food pots, round and squat with a wide opening, but otherwise, essentially a plastic screw topped flask. Asda have some wide mouthed insulated food flasks much in the same vein, currently at £3. I don't know if this would serve your needs?

Thanks to everyone who has answered.
I am going to look around at all recommened places, dont really mind what it looks like (although I liked the idea of the one shown in the link I sent) as long as it keeps his food warm.
    Thanks again all.

  • Found this on a camping site. Bit pricey but says it keeps stuff hot for 8 hrs.

Actually that one looks nice too It is a bit pricey but I'm guess its going to be money well spent anyway thinking how many times it will pay for its self putting warm food in it rather than buying it in the work canteen.
    Thanks for this.
