Just been to our local supermarket, and it was 'mark price down' time, and I got 7 punnets of greengages, 2 punnets tomatoes, 3 big beef toms, packet string beans, packet french beans, pack of tendersweet brocolli, 2 sweetcorn (marked down to 25p), 4 punnets English strawbs, all for £9:j.
Then I got a discount of £6 from a different supermarket.
Oh yes, and I hadn't spent the £30 it said on the voucher.
oooooh yes, and the voucher was out of date!
NOW, who's the best shopper in the family:j:T:rotfl:

You did well!!!! I love it when you come away feeling just a wee bit smug at all the bargains you got.
I did that the other week, came out with 2 big bags of fresh fruit + veg and paid about £2 for the lot!!!! A good time to try some of the more exotic things......like a dragon fruit for 10p.It was awful!!! No-one wanted to eat it...i did so that it wasn't wasted, but so glad I hadn't paid £1 to try it!!!
Just had my first ever asparagus tips steamed last night for dinner. I'd never tried it before, but the pack was 10p.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...

I got lots of bananas today, the local Sainsbury's were marking the packs down to 10p each - the bananas aren't even ripe yet! I'm ripening them up to freeze for smoothies, dairy-free 'ice cream' and baking.0

Recently I got a half kilo joint of beef for 69p
and one of those pork roasts in the tin foil trays for 99p. Bargain! 0
