Well Here we go

Hi everyone heres my thread and heres my story i have just returned back to my mum and dad after a relationship breakdown after 5 years, with this 5 years it has ended me having debt in the region of five thousand but i am on the road to recovery with a DMP with Christians Against Poverty . Approximately it is going to take three years to recover from my debt but ideally i would like to get it cleared sooner so the purpose of my thread is just to share my thoughts and feelings through this next three years as i take my road to a brighter future.

well i am off to work now a 10 hour shift is ahead have a good sunday after noon everyone.

    Hi and welcome

Glad you have a plan sorted out for repaying your debts. Hopefully living back with parents will keep your living costs down whilst you clear them.

    Good luck.

  • Hi Adrian,

Wanted to wish you well on the start of your DMP.

Don't forget 3 years is the longest it will take and is just the starting point. Any extra you earn, pay increases, anything you save and full and final offers you get will all take chunks off and will bring it forward.

You have light at the end of the tunnel and you're on the way. Try to find ways to enjoy this time (I know it sounds strange) because you're on the road to a fresh start :)

    Keep us updated!
  • Good luck! Keeping a diary on here is a great help, especially when you read back and see have far you've come. You seem to have had your LBM, so fingers crossed your DMP goes smoothly and hopefully you can get your debt free date down to under five years :-)

Good luck at the car boot and remember to haggle with the offers people make for items you have for sale.

Hope you makes loads at the car boot :)
  • Well I have booked a days holiday today to do the Car boot sale I have spent £9.99 on a paste table and £5.00 on the Car boot sale I am totally delighted that after taking these figures from the final total I made £60, which is brilliant every penny I make is a penny closer to been debt free so for me its a good day altogether I have also took my dad shopping today and bless him he gave me £5 for petrol.
