Solar roof tiles

Hi all,

Just wondered if anyone has looked into, or actually has installed, solar roof tiles? I have PV panels, which are great, but there are many parts to my roof and tiles are the only way I can think of maximising the opportunities to generate energy.

I have heard they are double the price of PV panels and produce half the enegry - is that true?

Thanks

They are at the specialist end of the market and usually only used when they absolutely have to be, eg: in a conservation area. or when specified by planning authorities in a new build.
